Young artists invited to participate in Petite Paint Out at Fresh at Five

Main Street Clinton invites children ages seven through twelve to join the Petite Paint Out during the Fresh at Five Farmers Market on Tuesday, July 15, in Olde Towne Clinton. Sponsored by The Bank by Pizza Shack, this creative event offers young artists the chance to capture the charm of Olde Towne and the energy of Fresh at Five through original artwork.

Painting will take place from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., with early check-in beginning at 4 p.m. for those who would like more time.

Artists can explore the area and draw inspiration from storefronts, market stands, landscapes and scenes along the brick streets.

Each participant will receive a pizza box easel and a basic art kit that includes watercolors, crayons, markers and paper. Artists may also bring additional supplies, along with a chair, blanket or tray table.

A fun, hands-on art activity for children under age seven will be provided by the Crown Club of Clinton.

From 5:30 to 6 p.m., marketgoers will be invited to view the finished artwork and cast their vote for People’s Choice. All awards will be announced at 6 p.m.

Four awards will be presented. The Spirit of Olde Towne Award recognizes artwork that reflects the unique charm of downtown Clinton. The Fresh Pick Award honors a piece that captures the spirit of the market. The People’s Choice Award is selected by popular vote. The Main Street Masterpiece Award recognizes the overall best in show.

Winning artwork will be displayed throughout the month of July at The Bank at 200 West Leake Street in Olde Towne.

Early registration is limited to twenty-five young artists. To register, visit https://mainstreetclinton.wufoo.com/forms/petite-paint-out-registration/.
