Join Dr. Ron Howard for an Evening on Clinton’s Rich History

The Clinton Genealogical and Historical Society will host Dr. Ron Howard for a discussion on Town and Gown, The Saga of Clinton and Mississippi College by Dr. Walter Howell.

Dr. Howard will present a selective discussion of Town and Gown recounting the symbiotic relationship between the school and the community over almost two-hundred years of political, economic, and cultural development. Published in 2014 and reprinted in 2024, the book is a well-researched, beautifully written, and thoroughly engaging history of Clinton and Mississippi College.

Dr. Ron Howard is Emeritus Provost and Professor of History & Political Science at Mississippi College., where he served as teacher and administrator for forty-two years. He has a Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee. Dr. Howard, a longtime friend of Dr. Howell, contributed the foreword of Town and Gown.

Join them on November 11 in the  Fellowship Hall of Northside Baptist Church located at 1475 E. Northside Drive, Clinton, MS at 6:00 PM
