Brick Street Players to present The Odd Couple Nov. 13-16

Special to The Clinton Courier

Move over Matthau and Lemmon, there’s a new odd couple in town!

Clinton’s Brick Street Players’ next performance will be Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple, presented by arrangement with Concordia Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc. Eric Riggs (Oscar Madison) and JC Patterson (Felix Unger) will bring the mismatched duo to life on stage, accompanied by the Dustin Barron (Murray), Robert Burgess (Vinnie), Patricia Rickrode (Speed), Philip Lawes (Roy), Jasmine McKay (Gwendolyn Pigeon) and Isabella Suell (Cecily Pigeon).

The Odd Couple tells the story of two unlikely friends who become unexpected roommates.

When Felix – uptight, compulsively clean and recently divorced – moves in with Oscar, a messy, laid-back sportswriter who enjoys his bachelor lifestyle, nothing could go wrong . . . right?

Neil Simon’s classic tale of friendship is perhaps best known for its 1968 film version, starring Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon, as well as a spin-off sitcom that ran from 1970-1975, starring Jack Klugman and Tony Randall.

Brick Street Players will bring the comedy to the Clinton community November 13 through 15 at 7 p.m., and November 16 at 2:30 p.m. Performances will be held at the Entergy Theatre, located at Mississippi College’s Gore Art Complex at 400 East College Street.

Tickets are available at cbsp.booktix.com. General admission tickets are $20, and student/senior/military tickets are available for $15. Ticket packages are also available.
