Christmas parade registrations now open
The Clinton Courier
The Clinton Christmas parade, set for December 6 this year, has been an annual festive favorite event for Clinton families for over fifty years.
Welcoming businesses, clubs, organizations, churches, schools, public servants, Scouts, bands, award-winners and even individuals to participate, the parade always promises to bring excitement and holiday cheer to the streets of Clinton.
This year’s parade theme is “Candy Cane Lane,” and the parade will make its start down Clinton Boulevard at 10 a.m. that morning.

Registration continues with an application fee of $25 through November 21; after that, registrations will be accepted at a rate of $35. Payment should be submitted with the completed application, which is available on ClintonChamber.org.
When planning their entries, participants should select music choices that follow the parade theme, and no live animals are allowed in the parade without permission from the parade committee. All attire and activity should be family-friendly, and there is only one live Santa allowed in the parade. (He and Mrs. Claus make a special visit to Clinton each year and ride down the parade route on top of a Clinton fire truck.)
Parade float order will be first-come, first-serve on the day of the parade, and additional information will be communicated to registered participants closer to the parade date.
More information can be found on the Chamber’s website at ClintonChamber.org, as well as on their Facebook page. Those with questions can call 601-924-5912 or send an email to info@clintonchamber.org.
