As we look ahead to 2026, I am encouraged by the positive direction the City of Clinton continues to take. One of my greatest priorities is working professionally and collaboratively with my fellow Aldermen, the Mayor and our dedicated department heads to ensure thoughtful leadership and steady progress for our community.
I am especially proud of the renewed strength of our Fire Department under new leadership and grateful for the day-to-day hard work and commitment shown by our Police Department. Likewise, our Public Works Department continues to work tirelessly to maintain and improve the infrastructure that keeps our City running smoothly. Their dedication ensures that Clinton remains a safe, functional and thriving community.
A new year also presents an opportunity for citizens to become more involved in our community. Supporting Main Street Clinton, volunteering at Traceway Park, participating in Chamber of Commerce events, serving at the Wood Center and engaging in City initiatives all help in moving Clinton forward.
For Ward 3, 2026 will bring important updates and long-awaited project completions. The bridge on Pinehaven Drive is scheduled for completion. New street lighting will be installed along Pinehaven to match the Clinton Parkway Bridge lights—enhancing both safety and appearance. Traceway Park now features new LED lighting, and I look forward to seeing spring baseball, soccer and softball flourish under these improvements.
Looking ahead, I am excited about new stores and construction that will continue to drive economic growth throughout our city. Clinton is on a strong path, and I am grateful for the opportunity to play a small role in its continued growth and development.
As we enter the new year, my hope is that we all remain engaged, informed and involved in our city. Progress happens when citizens and leadership work together, and 2026 is a great time to be part of Clinton’s future.
