Entergy: Extreme winter weather with ice, snow, freezing rain and sleet have moved out of the Entergy Mississippi service area. Although damage assessments and restorations are underway in some areas, the extremely low temps and icy roads delay the restoration process, so estimated restoration times are not available at this time. Clinton Public Schools

Clinton campuses and offices to remain closed on Monday, January 26 for potential dangerous winter weather
All CPSD campuses and offices will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026.
The Clinton Public School District has been in contact with state, county and city emergency officials. All decisions are made with the safety of students and staff in mind.
Dangerous winter weather has the potential to cause power outages and road conditions that are not suitable for student transportation.
District administrators will continue to monitor campus and road conditions through the start of the week.
Instruction at all CPSD campuses is scheduled to resume as usual on Tuesday, January 27.
However, if schedule changes are warranted, CPSD will send notifications through SchoolStatus, CPSD website, the Arrow Insider, Twitter/X and traditional media outlets.
Misssippi College
MC offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 26.

Due to the winter storm and the hard freeze expected tonight, we find it necessary to close all three of our Clinton locations tomorrow. The safety of our “Funtime Family” is always our top priority. MDHS PROVIDES WINTER WEATHER UPDATE
County office closures and Replacement SNAP information
JACKSON, MISS – The Mississippi Department of Human Services (MDHS) announces the closure of offices due to inclement weather and hazardous travel conditions. For the most up-to-date list of closures, please visit https://www.mdhs.ms.gov/
MDHS continues to monitor weather conditions and will reopen offices as soon as it is safe. Additional closures or adjustments may be announced if conditions change.
Clients who experience a power outage lasting longer than six hours due to this weekend’s storms may be eligible to request replacement SNAP benefits. Requests can be submitted through the designated SNAP replacement benefits form available on the MDHS website at SNAP Replacement Benefits – Mississippi Department of Human Services.
While in-person services may be unavailable in counties experiencing closures, online services will remain accessible. Clients are encouraged to manage their cases using their Access.MS.gov portal or the secure document upload feature on our website to:
