Clinton weathers ice storm

By Randy Bell

Clinton fared relatively well during a major ice storm which knocked out power to about 180,000 Mississippians and left roads iced over in the northern part of the state and the Delta January 25. The freezing rain and sleet produced some slippery spots on city streets, and falling trees and limbs led to outages in some neighborhoods.
