Clinton High School Soccer Falls to Tupelo
By Charlie Rook
A season that saw incredible success for Clinton High School, comes to an end after a 3-2 loss to Tupelo in round one of the MHSAA soccer playoffs.
The Arrows finished the season with a final record of 13-6-3, placing second in their district. The game with Tupelo was always going to be a good one, with the teams ranked right next to each other. However Tupelo showed yet another example of how hard it is to beat a team twice in one season.
For the Arrows they’ll say goodbye to two seniors who led the way in goals and assists. Timothy Graham, with 10 goals and 5 assists, and Juan Paredes with 8 goals and 10 assists. The team will now shift its focus to rebuilding for the next season, while Tupelo continue their march through the state tournament.
