Clinton boys powerlifting has podium finish

The Clinton High School boys’ powerlifting team opened the 2026 season with a strong showing at the MHSAA Region 2-7A Region Meet, finishing fourth at Oxford High School.

In their first competition of the year, the Arrows earned multiple podium finishes across several weight classes. Davieon Ferrell took second place, and Edward Hamilton and Braylen Brister took third in the 165 weight class; Jeron Benson won third place in the 198 weight class; Jacob Jones took second place in the 242 weight class; and Ian Dunson came home with third place in the 308+ weight class.

The lifters who placed will advance to the MHSAA Region 2-7A North Half Meet on Saturday, February 21, at Lewisburg High School, with the goal of qualifying for the State Championship.
