Happy Gardeners announce winter meeting

The Happy Gardeners Club invites members of the community to its upcoming meeting on Monday, February 23. Certified Arborist and Information Officer for the Mississippi Forestry Commission Meachum Harlow (pictured) will be the featured speaker. Throughout her career, Harlow has combined technical forestry expertise with emergency response work across Mississippi and the United States.
The Happy Gardeners Club of Clinton welcomes community members to its upcoming winter meeting. This event is scheduled for Monday, February 23, and promises to be an engaging occasion for gardening enthusiasts and those interested in environmental topics.
A highlight of the meeting will be a presentation commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Mississippi Forestry Commission. Attendees will also receive information about wildfire prevention, especially relevant during Mississippi’s Arbor Month.
Distinguished speaker Meacham Harlow, a Certified Arborist, will lead the presentation. Meacham holds a Federal Aviation Administration Remote Pilot Certification, which enables her to operate drones for emergency management. Harlow is involved with Urban Forest Strike Teams in Mississippi and participates in federal deployments for national disaster response.
In addition to her operational roles, Harlow is active in forestry leadership, fire and burn management, and education, and she is committed to forest stewardship, conservation, public safety and community outreach.
