Soul City Solar is currently accepting applications for its spring 2026 community grant cycle, a seasonal funding opportunity designed to support educators, public service organizations and nonprofits working to strengthen communities throughout Hinds County. Grants ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 will be awarded.

 

Eligible applicants include nonprofits, school districts and public service organizations in Hinds County whose work supports one or more of the following focus areas:
• Promoting education
• Environmental sustainability
• Safe and healthy communities
• Economic development

 

Interested organizations can visit www.SoulCitySolarPower.com to review grant guidelines, eligibility criteria and frequently asked questions. Applications must be submitted by April 3, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. CST.

 

Since May 2024, the program has awarded more than $250,000 to organizations in Hinds County. Soul City Solar encourages organizations working to create positive community impact to apply and share how their work helps strengthen Hinds County communities.
