Concert Series opens April 11 with Keys vs. Strings

Lions Club Park beckons with great music, a breezy, laid-back setting and the charm of community camaraderie, as the spring concert series returns to the stage.

Keys vs. Strings opens the Spring Lions Club Park Concert Series for 2026, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, on the Atmos Stage.

The band’s roots are in a dueling piano show, but the duo of Marvin Curtis and Topher Brown branched out from there, letting their skills take the reins in request-driven performances.

While both play piano, Brown is more the guitarist of the pair, hence the name’s reference to (piano) Keys vs. (guitar) Strings.

They’re a hit with the Clinton crowd, and are back by popular demand.

“Our community loves Keys vs. Strings! They would love to have them each season,” Main Street Clinton Program Director Tara Lytal said.

Springtime, too, is a real star for park concerts this time of year, she added.

The band caters to family-oriented crowds, leaning more toward festival and restaurant gigs, and private events.

Concert-goers should bring a chair or blanket for seating. Also recommended is bringing a picnic or takeout or grabbing dinner from a food truck. Copeland’s BBQ will be set up at the park to cater to the crowd.
