Streets being paved across Clinton
By Randy Bell
Work is underway to resurface at least thirteen streets as part of Clinton’s annual paving program. The City set aside $1 million for the project but approved an $827,547 bid from Adcamp, Inc. to do the work. Mayor Will Purdie says they’re still trying to decide whether to use the remaining money to do additional paving or to cover the cost of putting striping down on several streets.
Consulting City Engineer Bill Owen says the company will likely pave targeted streets in the same area before moving on to another part of Clinton.
“They’ll try to,” Owen says, noting that the work is supposed to be wrapped up within forty-five days.
