Yule Run early registration runs through November 8

By Sherry Lucas

Lace up, folks, for the 2026 Yule Run through Clinton.

Registration is open now for the 9th annual Yule Run on Saturday, December 5, where participants can run or walk the 5K, sign up for the 8K if they’re feeling ambitious or opt for the virtual version of each.

The race starts at 7 a.m. on December 5, with last-minute registration that morning at 6 a.m.

The Yule Run makes a perfect early morning start, where runners can log several kilometers before kicking back to enjoy the Clinton Christmas Parade, which rolls through the brick streets at 10 a.m. that day.

The Yule Run, presented by the Clinton Chamber of Commerce, has enjoyed steady growth every year since its start, and reached a high of 350 people signing up last year.

“We just want to continue to have 300-plus people every year,” Yule Run coordinator Nathan Cummins said.

Those who want to participate are encouraged to take advantage now of early pricing, which is $35, and the best guarantee of a T-shirt during regular registration through November 8. Late registration kicks in on November 9, and registration switches to $45 from then until race day. Visit runsignup.com for registration details.

This year’s theme is “Marching Through Clinton” and the medal is a toy soldier.
