Lady Choctaws pick up second win in a row

CLINTON, Miss. – The Mississippi College Lady Choctaws picked up their second win in a row as they topped Lee University three sets to one. This win, coupled with the last night’s win against Shorter, has given the team a homecoming week sweep.

Lexi Richards led the team with 16 kills and hit at a .419 clip in the match. Lexie Laurendine led the team in the assists category with 30. Defensively, Missy Beber led the team with 14 digs. Kendall Platt, who set the Lady Choctaws’ all-time kills record on Friday night, chipped in defensively with 12 digs.

The Lady Choctaws sit in a tie for sixth in the GSC standings and will travel to face Christian Brothers on Tuesday.  To read the full release on the MC Athletics website, click HERE.
