Clinton ArrowsThere’s no place like home for Clinton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Germantown Mavericks by a score of 8-5 on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they’ve met, the home team has come away the winner.

Brody Zumbro looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn’t given up more than one walk in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Ethan Dodson was incredible, scoring two runs while going 4-for-4. Parker Thames was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Clinton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Clinton’s win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 11-5. As for Germantown, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-9.
