Ambassadors close out successful competition season

The Clinton Junior High School Ambassadors recently wrapped up a successful show choir competition season, earning numerous awards and accolades.
Under the direction of Erin Linton and Alison Custer, with choreography by Dexter Bishop and Kellis Oldenburg and set design by Dave Ellis and the Set Parents, the group’s show, “Inventions and Innovations,” brought home top honors throughout the season.
The Ambassadors kicked off their 2025 season at the Ms. Show Choir Contest held at Pearl River Community College in Poplarville. There, they earned the title of Grand Champions, along with awards for Overall Outstanding Show Design and Overall Outstanding Vocals. Individual performers Laurel Lenow and Taylor Longmire were also recognized as Best Performers.
Their success continued at the Homewood South Central Classic in Homewood, Alabama, where the Ambassadors swept the competition, winning Grand Champions, Best Vocals, Best Choreography and Best Overall Effect.
At the Petal Show Choir Invitational in Petal, the Ambassadors once again claimed the Grand Champion title. They also took home awards for Best Vocals and the People’s Choice Award, while Elliot Busby was named Solo Competition Grand Champion.
The Ambassadors concluded their season at the Biloxi Gulf Coast Classic in Biloxi, where they earned second place overall and the award for Outstanding Visual Performance. In the solo competition, Luke May secured second Place, while Jayce Rudd was named Solo Competition Grand Champion.
With multiple championship titles and individual honors, the Clinton Junior High School Ambassadors celebrated a highly successful season, leaving a lasting impression and making their school and community proud.
