Former Arrow football players Wolfe and Spann lead Rangers to championship

Hayden Wolfe and T. J. Spann, who both played for the Clinton High School football team from 2022-24, recently helped lead the Northwest Community College (NWCC) Rangers to their second Mississippi Community College football championship in the past two years.
In 2025, the Rangers finished the regular season with an 8-1 record and then defeated Copiah-Lincoln Community College 28-27 on the road at Wesson in the opening playoff game on November 8. NWCC defeated Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (MGCCC) at Senatobia 16-13 on November 15 in the MACCC Championship game to win the MACCC 2025 Football Championship.
Wolfe accounted for 10 of the Rangers’ 16 points, including the 47-yard winning field goal in the 2025 title game against MGCCC. He kicked three field goals and an extra point in the title game. He also kicked the winning field goal against Copiah-Lincoln in the first playoff game and had the 43-yard game-winning field goal against MGCCC to lead NWCC to win the 2024 MACCC title the year before.
The Rangers then traveled to Hutchinson, Kansas, to play the #1 national-ranked National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Hutchinson Community College Blue Dragons in the first round of the NJCAA playoffs, where they fell 27-0 to end the season.
Wolfe, a sophomore, had another stellar season at Senatobia at NWCC in both the kicking and punting game. During his two years with the Rangers, he set three NWCC kicking team
records. He had the most punts that pinned the opposing team inside the 20-yard line. He also had the best field goal percentage in team history. Wolfe kicked three of the Rangers’ longest field goals in team history. That included a record-breaking 52-yard field goal this season, and, as a freshman, Wolfe connected on two field goals for 51 yards in 2024.
He was selected to the first team as All MACCC North kicker, and also was the 2025 All MACCC overall first team kicker, as well as first team National Junior College Athletic Association All-American kicker for 2025.
Wolfe recently accepted a Division 1 football scholarship to kick for Troy University in the Sunbelt Conference for the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
Spann was a three-year starter on the defensive line for the Clinton High School Arrows. He played in the Bernard Blackwell North-South All Star game in 2023 as a senior.
As a sophomore, he also helped NWCC to the championship run this past season. At 6’3” and 290 pounds, Spann played in 11 games, recording 12 tackles, including three for a loss of yardage, and had 2.5 sacks. He also received several academic accolades, including Academic All-MACCC to the Vice President’s list and Athletic Director’s honor Roll.
Spann recently accepted a Division 1 football scholarship to play for Arkansas State in the Sunbelt Conference.
