The team advanced to the quarter finals of the MHSAA 7A tournament after a 3-1 win against Lewisburg, where they met a Tupelo team with a semi-final spot on the line.

The game was a tight one all the way through, with the final whistle blowing and the score deadlocked at 0-0. The game then went to a penalty shootout, where Tupelo went 5 out of 6 to Clinton’s 4 out of 6 to clinch the match.

The match was always going to be close, with this being the second time these teams have met this season, with the last one also ending in a draw with a score of 1-1.

With the loss the number 5 ranked Lady Arrows will shift their focus into the off season, while the Tupelo Spartans prepare for a semi-final matchup with Madison Central on February 17th.
