Free kidney screenings

YMCA and DaVita Partner to Offer Free Community Kidney Health Screenings in Flowood and Clinton
Jackson, Miss. – The Metropolitan YMCAs of Mississippi and DaVita Kidney Care are partnering to provide free community health screenings focused on kidney health, blood pressure awareness, and preventive care. The screenings are open to the public and designed to help individuals identify potential health concerns before they become serious medical issues.
According to health experts, approximately 1 in 7 adults in the United States has chronic kidney disease, and many do not know they have it because symptoms often go unnoticed until the disease has progressed. These free screenings aim to increase awareness and connect community members with valuable health resources.
“We are committed to helping our communities live healthier lives,” said Faith Martin, Associate Director of Outreach & Development for the Metropolitan YMCAs of Mississippi. “By partnering with DaVita, we can provide free access to important health screenings and education that may help individuals detect potential health concerns early and take steps toward better health.”
