Clinton brothers win eSports scholarships

Max and Jack McCaa recently attended the Southern-Fried Gaming Expo in Atlanta, Georgia. They competed in and won the event’s Fortnite Duos – No Builds competition, placing first place in both rounds against fourteen other teams. After the competition, both brothers were awarded an $11,000 eSports scholarship to The University of South Carolina Upstate. The Southern-Fried Gaming Expo was co-founded in 2014 by Clinton native and Clinton High School graduate Preston Burt. Burt still produces the show annually for thousands of attendees over a three-day weekend.
