Northside Elementary’s math scores remain among state’s best
Special to The Clinton Courier
Northside Elementary School students continue to rank among the top mathematics performers in Mississippi. According to proficiency scores and rankings recently released by the Mississippi Department of Education, Clinton’s third-grade students ranked fifth statewide in mathematics.
Northside Principal Mandy Ambrose said the achievement reflects the dedication of the school’s teachers and staff.
“Our teachers understand that these test scores are the result of meaningful learning, not the goal itself,” Ambrose said. “They see each student as an individual, meet them where they are and then challenge and support them to reach their fullest potential.”
Ambrose said the school’s success is the result of a team effort that includes classroom teachers, support staff, interventionists and activity teachers working together to help students succeed.
“These scores are a reflection of that collective commitment, and I couldn’t be more proud of the Northside team,” Ambrose said.
