Is that a whiff of pumpkin spice in the air?
That plus the welcome breeze and falling leaves mean autumn is at hand, and the Fall for Clinton Olde Towne Market is just up ahead, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, October 10, on Clinton’s brick streets.
This marks the 20th annual Fall for Clinton market. About seventy to seventy-five vendors will be onsite, with plenty of items to entice the 4,000 to 5,000 shoppers who reliably attend.
And, whether the wish list entails fall holiday decor as Halloween and Thanksgiving approach, or even an early stab at that Christmas list, chances are good shoppers can find something there to fill the bill.
“Typically, the vendors offering decorative or scented items for the home do take advantage of the much-anticipated change of seasons,” Main Street Clinton Assistant Jackie Massey said.
Expect to find candles, bath and body products, jewelry, home decor, fiber arts, fine art, woodwork and pottery at this market.
The Wood Butcher Shoppe’s Jerry Hall will be back with wooden bowls, yarn bowls, shut-the-box games and trivet trees, as well as floating crosses, floating angels and wavy wood American flags. He appreciates Main Street Clinton’s good vendor screening, he said, which ensures items for sale there are of good quality and handmade.
That, in turn, ensures that a foray to Fall for Clinton is time well spent.
Think of it as a fine day to browse, visit, take in the 10 a.m. Pet Parade, grab a snack, refreshment or lunch downtown and come back at 6:30 p.m. for the Lions Club Park Concert Series, featuring Cross Country.
“Shoppers will find Olde Towne eateries serving tasty foodstuffs, including entrees, snacks and treats,” Massey said. “Dad’s Dogs and Grumpy Dave’s Kettle Corn will join us. Pet Parade sponsor Chick-fil-A will offer a very limited menu, as well.”
