Clinton’s Traceway Park to Host NJCAA Softball National Championships
Sixteen Top college softball teams from all across the United States will compete in the NJCAA Softball National Championship Tournament at Clinton’s Traceway Park beginning Wednesday, May 16- Saturday, May 19.
Clinton Parks and Recreation Department is in its seventh year hosting this prestigious athletic event. Metro area residents are invited to watch these athletes in action as they compete for the Junior College national title.
On Monday, May 14 at 6:00 P.M. on Softball Field 6, a softball mashup will be held with the softball teams and the city of Clinton Challenger League (special needs) softball players. Two teams, blending NJCAA players with Challenger League players, will play a friendly scrimmage game. For many players attending the NJCAA Tournament, the mashup has become one of their highlights of the week. Admission to the

.A free community social and homerun derby will be held on Wednesday evening, May 14, beginning at 6 p.m. with fireworks to follow at 7:45 p.m.

Teams and fans from Arizona, Illinois, New Jersey, Iowa, Louisiana, and Mississippi and across the country are expected to participate in the only college National Championship Tournament contested in the state of Mississippi.
Once again, the City of Clinton invites metro area softball and sports enthusiasts to attend the 2018 NJCAA Softball National Championships.
