Clinton Basketball Programs Move to 6-0

Clinton’s Basketball program is continuing to ride the winning wave at the start of the 2019-2020 season.

Both the Lady Arrows and the Arrows are sitting pretty with a 6-0 record.

Clinton Dominates Wingfield

On November 14, Clinton hosted Wingfield in the Clinton High School gymnasium.

The Lady Arrows held the Lady Falcons to single digits, winning 76-8.

The Boys took the court against a talented Wingfield team from South Jackson. Clinton defeated the Falcons 71-61.

Arrows Challenged on the Road

On Tuesday, November 19, Clinton traveled to McComb to take on the Tigers.

The Lady Arrows faced a tough Lady Tigers team. After Clinton opened up strongly in the first half, leading 34-25, McComb’s girls pushed back hard to challenge the Lady Arrows for the game.

Clinton held on to win 68-65, their narrowest victory of the season.

Clinton’s Boys found themselves behind at the end of the first quarter and only leading by two at the half, 34-32. Coach Green’s Arrows utilized the third quarter to stretch their 2-point lead to a 10-point lead.

The Arrows went on to win 64-53.

Arrows Host Northwest Rankin

Clinton will welcome Northwest Rankin to the CHS Gymnasium Thursday, November 21.

The Lady Arrows will tip off at 6:00 P.M. followed by the Arrows at 7:30 P.M.

The Lady Cougars come to Clinton with a 3-2 record.

The Cougars are at .500 with 3-3 record.
