Lady Arrows to Play in 6A Soccer Championship


CLINTON – Clinton High School girls soccer took on Tupelo High School in the North State Semi-Final in Clinton, Mississippi this past Tuesday for a chance to go to the 6A Girls Soccer State Championship. The Lady Arrows took a 1-0 lead in the first half with beautiful saves from 8th Grader Sarah Polk to keep the Lady Golden Waves scoreless. In the second half, Jada Jelks adds to the lady arrows lead with an amazing goal from outside the box that would finish off the game 2-0 and would give the Clinton High School Lady Arrows the 6A North State Title.
The Lady Arrows will compete in the 6A Girls Soccer State Championship this Saturday (February 8th) at Ridgeland High School at 4 pm. They will take on the undefeated Gulfport High School girls for a chance to be crowned the 6A Girls Soccer State Champions. Tickets are $10 and are good for all games at that particular venue.
