For the past two decades, Thomas Bobo’s name has been synonymous with Lady Arrows Soccer. But after 22 years, the Clinton Lady Arrows Soccer team will have a new coach.
Elliott Rimmer has been named as head coach of the Clinton Lady Arrows Soccer program.
Rimmer filled the assistant coach slot during the 2019-2020 season, helping Coach Bobo’s team get to the MHSAA 6A State Finals.
“Spending the past year under Coach Bobo has given me an enormous advantage when it comes to taking over his program,” Rimmer said. “He turned the Lady Arrows Soccer program into one that is respected across the state due to its consistent success.”
Born and raised in Clinton, Rimmer has a deep history with the city of Clinton and the sport of soccer.
Rimmer is a graduate of Mississippi College where he was a four-year starter for the Choctaws and captain for three. He’s spent the past three summers playing for Gaffa FC, a semipro team based out of Jackson.
Rimmer’s excitement about taking over is evident. He said his goal is to take what Coach Bobo has established over his tenure and build from there.
“There’s a long legacy of fantastic Clinton soccer teams stretching back decades,” he said. “I hope to continue to add to that year after year.”
