Hinds Men’s and Women’s Tennis 2020 Season Recap

RAYMOND – The 2020 Hinds men’s and women’s seasons were significantly shortened this season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Both the men’s and women’s squad entered the 2020 season in somewhat of a rebuild as the men’s team only had one returning sophomore while the women’s team featured all freshmen.

Men’s Recap
The Eagles finished the 2020 the shortened season with a 3-5 overall record, after finishing the 2019 season as the MACJC State Champions, NJCAA Region 23 Champions, and had the opportunity to compete for a National Championship. The Eagles returned just one sophomore from the 2019 team in Chris Adams.

Nonetheless, the Eagles still captured three victories. Below are the match recaps of each victory.

Women’s recap
The Lady Eagles finished the shortened season with an overall record of 1-5 with a roster of five freshmen.

The lone victory came against the Southwest Mississippi Community College (SMCC) Lady Bear by a score of 6-3. Below is results from that match.
