Aniya Madkin signs with University of Arkansas, Walker signs with Mississippi State track and field

Clinton High School senior Aniya Madkin recently signed a letter of intent to play volleyball for the University of Arkansas. Madkin helped the Lady Arrows win their first 6A MHSAA Volleyball State Championship her freshman year. She’s also a former member of the 2020-2021 6A MHSAA state runner up Lady Arrows basketball team and has multiple track and field state championships. Madkin is a scholar athlete and an academic All-American. She is the daughter of Qual and Wayne Madkin.

 

Walker
Kaitlyn Walker, a Clinton High School senior, recently signed a letter of intent with Mississippi State University’s track and field program. Walker has been part of the Clinton track and field program since 2019, helping the Lady Arrows team continue its streak of state championships. She won the state discus championship during both her sophomore and junior seasons and has been named to numerous All-State track and field teams. Walker is also a member of the Lady Arrows basketball team and has been named team captain for her senior season. During her junior season, she was selected to the Mississippi North/South All-Star game. Walker is a three-year member of the award-winning CHS culinary program, and she is currently a student intern with the program. She is also a member of National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Anchor Club and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She is the daughter of Thelma and Gregory Walker.
