Arrows sign to play collegiate sports
Five Clinton High School soccer players recently signed letters of intent to play collegiate soccer at four Mississippi community colleges. Pictured (l to r) are Aiden Rushing, who signed with Northwest Community College; Hayden Thomas, who signed with Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College; Hunter Gibson, who signed with Holmes Community College; and Charles Chisolm and Tanner Jones, who signed with Hinds Community College. All five are senior members of the Arrows 2023 6A State Champion soccer team.
Christian Parks, a senior at Clinton High School, recently signed a letter of intent with Mississippi College’s cross country and track-and-field program. Parks has recorded consistent top-tier times for the Arrows for both Coach Eric Solis’ cross country team and Coach Jonathan Perkins’ track team. Parks is a two-time All-Region runner, helping Clinton secure a championship medal at the 2022 MHSAA 6A State Championship meet. He also holds the state record in the 4×800. He is a member of Clinton High School’s National Honor Society and is the son of Kacy and David Parks.
