Introduction: John Clarke Altman

My name is John Clarke Altman. I am 22 years old, and currently living in Clinton with my wife of 6 months (Alli) and my newly acquired dog (Pip.) I am working in the Missions department at First Baptist Church Jackson, and most importantly to this conversation, I deeply enjoy writing and reading literature of any kind. My writing takes the form of poetry on most occasions; however, I have written a short story or two when I find myself especially inspired. Writing is the most freeing, creative, and relaxing activity to me. Being born in Brandon and migrating to Clinton, I have become familiar with Clinton. I admire its reflection of the heart of Mississippi.
