The Junior Auxiliary Crown Club of Clinton recently had their last service project of the school year. The group chose to make “Foster Comfort Bags” for children entering the foster system in Mississippi. Each club member brought a backpack/duffle/travel bag and items to fill the bag, such as toothpaste and a toothbrush, soap, shampoo, a blanket, stuffed animal, lotion, etc.

District 56 State Representative Clay Mansell spoke to them about foster care in Mississippi.

The girls assembled fifty-seven comfort bags, which they are donating to the Methodist Children’s Home (MCH). Junior Auxiliary of Clinton members will deliver the bags and additional hygiene donations to MCH.

Mansell said the girls “went above and beyond by donating extra items. Their generosity and heart for service are truly inspiring.”
