Kennedy Banyard and Taqueria Marshall, both of Clinton, recently served as pages for the Mississippi House of Representatives. Pages generally run errands for officials and House staff.
Banyard, 17, is a junior, and is the daughter of Katrina and Spurgeon Banyard. Marshall, 15, is a sophomore, and is the daughter of Bianca Odom. Both students attend Clinton High School and were sponsored for the week by Representative Cheikh Taylor.
When asked about her experience as a page, Banyard said, “I thoroughly enjoyed my time as a page in the Mississippi House of Representatives. The work was engaging, and I gained valuable insight into the legislative process. Thank you to Representative Taylor for the amazing opportunity. I can’t wait to come back next year!”
“I really enjoyed the experience,” added Marshall. “This was my first time, and I really liked it, thanks to Representative Taylor. It is safe to say I will be back next year!”
