Mississippi College men’s soccer has officially entered the national conversation, earning a spot at No. 25 in this week’s United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Top 25 Poll. The ranking comes as the Choctaws (11-1-4) prepare to host postseason play after clinching the 2025 Gulf South Conference regular-season championship and the No. 1 overall seed in the GSC Tournament.
MC finished the conference slate unbeaten at 9-0-2 and carries a nine-match unbeaten streak into the postseason. The Choctaws will open tournament action on their home field this Sunday, Nov. 9, hosting No. 8 seed Trevecca Nazarene at 1 p.m. CT at Robert P. Longabaugh Field.
Mississippi College is one of two GSC programs represented in the national poll, with West Florida receiving votes. MC joins a Top-25 field led by No. 1 Charleston, followed by Palm Beach Atlantic, Cal State Stanislaus, Fort Hays State and Anderson (S.C.).

GSC TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE
The 2025 GSC Men’s Soccer Championship begins Sunday with the top four seeds hosting quarterfinal matches on their home fields.
The semifinals and championship will move to Huntsville, Ala., where the Huntsville Sports Commission will host matches on Nov. 14 and 16 at the Loretta P. Spencer Sports Complex Championship Field.
The tournament champion earns the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Championship. The full national bracket will be announced Monday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. ET on NCAA.com.
