Walmart makes donation to Arrows basketball
Special to The Clinton Courier
Dozens of Clinton Arrow fans came out to pack the Clinton High School gym to watch the Arrow basketball athletes take on the Northwest Rankin Cougars and see the crowning of the 2025 Arrow Court Queen and Princesses.
During the Lady Arrows halftime show, a proud alumnus of Clinton High School, Ramondo James, who serves as manager of Walmart Supercenter #6469, presented the Clinton Arrows Basketball Booster Club and the Arrows basketball program with a $1,000 Wal-Mart grant. The partnership with Walmart is an example of how local large corporations promote Clinton’s schools and events, bringing the community together through contributions.
“It is truly a blessing to be in position to be able to give back to the community. It makes it extra special to give back to my high school. Over the years from first through twelfth grade, many educators invested in me and many others in the Clinton community,” said James.

Walmart recently presented a donation to the Clinton Arrows Basketball Booster Club (CABBC), Pictured (l to r) are Robert Hampton, Jr., CABBC Executive Assistant Natalie Hampton, Walmart Manager Ramondo James, CABBC President James Eatmon and Arrows Assistant Athletic Director/Head Coach Joshua Luckett.
The Clinton Arrows Basketball Booster Club, a nonprofit organization, aims to elevate the Arrows by promoting and creating positive interactions for Clinton High and Sumner Hill student-athletes beyond the basket. With this donation, the CABBC continues to grow and serve to expand their reach in the future. The club’s mission is “United, We Elevate the Game!”
