Self-scheduling available for MSDH appointments through MyChart

In an ongoing effort to make healthcare more accessible and ensure patients get the services they need, the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) now offers self-scheduling of appointments through MyChart.

According to MSDH officials, self-scheduling through MyChart is an easier, more convenient way to access care, allowing clients to quickly see available days and times that work for their busy lives with just a few clicks of a device. That means no more waiting in line at clinics or trying to call during business hours.

Services available for self-scheduling include pregnancy testing (with no parental consent needed for those under eighteen); pre-pregnancy/pre-conception counseling; family planning and birth control counseling; and contraceptives and free condoms.

MyChart also makes it easier to manage other healthcare needs, including communicating with a doctor, requesting prescription refills and accessing test results.
