Home brewers to showcase more than a dozen beers at Red Brick Brew

The Red Brick Brew Home Brewers Competition taps into its 7th annual year celebrating area hobbyists crafting their own beers as a fixture of the Red Brick Roads Music and Arts Festival, March 26-28 in Olde Towne Clinton.
More than a dozen brews were registered at press time, with the festival still weeks away, and organizers expect many more to join the fun, competition coordinator Allison Reno said.
Red Brick Roads Music and Arts Festival is a joint production of Main Street Clinton, Clinton Chamber of Commerce and the City of Clinton.
Red Brick Brew 2026 is an American Homebrewers Association-sanctioned/Beer Judge Certification Program-registered competition. The hand-crafted beers are judged the weekend before the festival. They vie for awards, including Best of Show, and first, second and third place medals in each category.
The participating amateur brewers bring and serve at least five gallons of beer to the festival’s tasting garden on Saturday, March 28. That’s where festival-goers (age 21 and older) can get a taste of the action, ask questions and learn more about brewers’ passionate pursuits. That’s also where the public can weigh in, voting for a People’s Choice selection. Door prizes are a possibility.
Interested tasters are encouraged to drop by the Red Brick Brew Home Brew Competition from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Red Brick Roads that Saturday to sample the creativity at work in home craft beer production in a convivial setting with fellow enthusiasts.
“In conversations with brewers, everyone I talked to is, like, ‘I can’t wait!’” Reno said.
Competition winners and the People’s Choice selection will be announced from the stage shortly afterward.
Beer garden admission is included with the festival’s Saturday entry ticket for attendees age 21 and older. Those who plan to drink beer at the festival will be required to show identification before being served.
