Uncorked: Witches’ Brew

Get ready once again to pop the top and start to shop.
Olde Towne Uncorked flows back around on Thursday, October 22, on Clinton’s brick streets, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
With Halloween in sight, the event takes on a sassy/spooky flair, as Olde Towne Uncorked: Witches’ Brew unfolds. Grab your broomstick, folks, and clean up at participating downtown businesses.
Tickets are $20 in advance; the link to purchase can be found on Main Street Clinton’s website, MainStreetClintonMS.com. Tickets are $25 each on event day. Ticket sales are capped at one hundred twenty-five.
Nearly a dozen businesses have signed up to participate in this annual fun time. Shoppers get a special edition Olde Towne stemless wineglass and make their way door to door, as participating businesses serve wine or a non-alcoholic beverage and hors d’oeuvres.
Main Street Clinton first tried out a Halloween slant for the fall event last year, encouraging participants to don their best witches’ hats, and awards were given for the best decorated hats, said Main Street Clinton Assistant Director Ashley Hammack.
“We are continuing the Witch’s Hat Contest again this year, but we are also adding a general costume contest for those who may want to join the fun in other ways,” Hammack said.
“Costumes are not required to participate in the event, but they are encouraged!”
