Burn ban remains in effect for Clinton

As of press time, a burn ban remains in effect until further notice as dangerously dry conditions continue across the area.

The lack of significant rainfall has left grass, leaves and vegetation extremely dry, creating conditions where even a small spark can quickly ignite a fire and spread to surrounding areas.

Residents are reminded that outdoor burning, including burning leaves, brush and other yard debris, is prohibited while the burn ban is in effect. With vegetation so dry, even a small fire can threaten nearby homes, property and public safety.

The burn ban will remain in place until conditions improve and the restriction is officially lifted. Residents are encouraged to monitor TheClintonCourier.net, the City’s website and social media channels for updates.
