CHS cheer earns top honors at UCA Camp

The Clinton High School cheerleading team delivered a performance at the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) Camp that resulted in them bringing home numerous titles, individual honors and special awards.

 

Under the direction of coaches Dina Wells and Asia Thomas, the Arrows competed against squads from across the region. The camp was held at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond.

 

Clinton earned Superior Ribbons in both sideline and cheer evaluation, along with their superior rating in the camp routine evaluation. Two Clinton cheerleaders were selected as Jump Off finalists and earned superior ribbons for their efforts.

 

The program also celebrated three Pin It Forward recipients and six All-American cheerleaders.

 

In addition to the individual recognitions, the Arrows earned the UCA Traditions Award and were presented with the UCA Top Banana Spirit award, highlighting the team’s enthusiasm.

 

Clinton captured first place in Game Day Sideline and was crowned first place overall large varsity spirit champion. The Arrows also earned runner-up finishes in both the Large Varsity Cheer and Large Varsity Camp Routine divisions.
