Former Eagle stars’ Jeff Henderson and Kenyattia Hackworth are leaving their imprint on the Track and Field World.
Jeff Henderson currently sits atop of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) World rankings in the men’s long jump.
Henderson, the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Hall of Famer and 2016 Olympic Champion, made a mark of 8.38 meters back in April. His 8.38 meter jump leads the World for 2019. Henderson is training to take part in the IAAF World Athletics Championships held in Doha this September 2019.
Additionally, Kenyattia Hackworth, a former NJCAA National Champion at Hinds back in 2013, currently sits second in the world in 2019 in the women’s long jump with a mark of 6.92 meters which she landed this past weekend. Hackworth is also amidst her training for the IAAF World Championships.
The 17th IAAF World Athletics Championships, Doha 2019. will take place from September 27 to October 6, 2019. Over 10 days, 24 different events will be held for male and female athletes.
