Mississippi College Basketball Wins With 10 Seconds Remaining
CLINTON, Miss. — Winceton Edwards knocked down a contested three-pointer with just over 10 seconds remaining to help give the Mississippi College men’s basketball team a 78-73 win over Christian Brothers on Thursday night in A.E. Wood Coliseum.
For the Choctaws, it was their first win over CBU since re-joining Division II and the Gulf South Conference prior to the 2014-15 season. The last win for MC over the Bucs came on December 1, 1978 with a 69-67 victory in Clinton.
The Choctaws improved to 7-8 on the season with a 3-6 GSC record, while the Bucs dropped to 6-11 with a 2-7 league mark.
