Mississippi College Golf Team Opens 2020 Season at Derrall Foreman Intercollegiate

CLEVELAND, Miss. — The Mississippi College men’s golf team will open the 2020 fall season on Monday (Oct. 12) at the Derrall Foreman Intercollegiate, hosted by Delta State University at the Cleveland Country Club.

The two-day tournament will feature 36 holes on Monday with the final 18 holes coming on Tuesday (Oct. 13).

Seven teams are slated to play in the season-opening tournament: Belhaven, Christian Brothers, Delta State, Meridian CC, Mississippi College, Northeast MS CC and Union.

The 2020-21 Choctaw Golf roster features senior Force Choi, who has had one of the best statistical careers in program history. Joining him as returners on this year’s team are David BarryGrant Mahaney and Adam Murphree. Three newcomers to watch this season are JJ LogueBryson Jones and TJ Boros.

The 2020 spring season was cut short following just one tournament for the Choctaws, the MC Spring Invitational held at Lake Caroline Golf Club. The Choctaws finished 2nd in that tournament with a team score of 863, led by Choi with a 7th-place finish and a three-round total of 212.
