Chamber honors Fireman, Employee and Policeman of the Year

The Clinton Chamber of Commerce, along with city leaders and community members, recently gathered for the annual Public Service Appreciation Luncheon to honor the city Fireman, Employee, and Policeman of the Year. This year’s celebration recognized Clinton’s exceptional public servants and awarded each of the three honorees with a bag full of gifts worth over $1,500 from local businesses.

The City Fireman of the Year, Lieutenant Phil Morgan, was nominated for his work ethic, setting an example, patient care and more. Outside of his duties as a fireman, Morgan is very involved with his family and his children’s sports.

The City Policeman of the Year, Officer Noah McCraw, was nominated for his work ethic, surpassing expectations, his professionalism, and commitment to reducing crime and fear of crime within the city.

The City Employee of the Year, Courtney Dunn, was nominated for her development of the youth tennis program and the Howl-O-Ween costume contest, completing tasks at the highest standard, holding others accountable, and her willingness to get the job done. Outside of her job, Dunn serves her church youth ministry and runs a softball recruiting service.
Mayor Phil Fisher spoke on the importance of public service in the community. Continental Tire employee Tobias Hacker spoke of their appreciation and gave the winners tires to keep them safe on the road.
