#1 – Make Sure It’s Airtight

Cannabis is like coffee and tea, in that it needs to be stored in an airtight container if you want to keep it fresh.

#5 – Don’t Store In The Fridge Or Freezer

While chilling some fresh greens, like spinach, does keep them fresher for longer. You should treat cannabis more like tea – after all, both go through similar trying processes.

You do not want to keep your cannabis somewhere cold like the fridge because it will make the buds too moist. If they get cold and damp then they are likely to go moldy before you even get to use them.

You can, however, keep cannabis extracts and oils in the fridge. This will keep them fresher for longer. You can also keep edibles in the fridge if the packaging recommends it.

#6 – Think About Size

Finally, you want to make sure that you are storing your cannabis in the right-sized container.

You want to make sure that there is not too much spare space in your container, otherwise, you will be exposing it to too much air and will be defeating the point of storing it in an airtight container.

You do not want to pack the buds in too tightly, or they will get crushed.

Try to keep two thirds of the container full, and then transfer the cannabis to a smaller container when your original container gets too empty.
