Katie Allen will be joining CCA as elementary principal. Tyanne McCoy has been named upper school principal and director of admissions, and Mary Bobo Fisher will join the staff as head girls’ soccer coach.

Allen grew up in Oxford and is an Oxford High School graduate. She pursued her passion for teaching by attending Northeast Community College on a music scholarship and later transferred to Ole Miss, where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in secondary English education. She then furthered her studies in the education master’s program at William Carey, specializing in emotional and mental disorders in children and teens.

“Becoming a teacher has always been a calling for me, and I believe it is where I am meant to be,” said Allen. “Throughout my years in education, I have recognized the importance of meeting both the emotional and educational needs of students. Outside of school, I cherish my role as a mother to my five children: Grace, 17, Robbie, 15, Charlie, 14, Abby, 11, and Amelia, 10.”

“I am honored to be given the opportunity to inspire students as they grow in their faith and love for learning here at CCA,” continued Allen. “My prayer and deepest heart’s desire is to empower students to achieve their highest academic potential, show appreciation for dedicated teachers and staff, and guide students in deepening their relationship with the Lord.”

“I am excited to see how God will use me as I join the CCA family,” said McCoy. “I look forward to working with students to help them find God’s will for their lives.”
