Cleanup dumpsters to be available April 25 to May 2

Special to The Clinton Courier

The City of Clinton’s annual Spring Citywide Cleanup will take place April 25 through May 2, closed Sunday, April 26.

During the cleanup period, the City of Clinton will have dumpsters available for residents at the old Northside Elementary School, located at 1111 Old Vicksburg Road.

Hours of operation will be 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily (excluding Sunday). City employees will be present to assist residents as needed.

Residents utilizing the service are asked to line up on Longwood Place in the Briars and turn west on Old Vicksburg Road for disposal. Due to the expense of the program, the Public Works Department will limit the service to Clinton residents only. Proof of residency will be required. Accepted forms of identification include a City of Clinton water/garbage bill or a driver’s license or state-issued ID card with a Clinton address.

The Spring Citywide Cleanup provides Clinton residents an opportunity to dispose of yard waste, bulky items and other household debris free of charge.

The cleanup does not include e-waste, such as computers, printers and keyboards, nor will refrigerators, freezers, or A/C units containing freon be accepted.
