Clinton students serve as pages for state Legislature

Ricki Williams and Keziah Kimple of Clinton recently served as pages for the Mississippi House of Representatives during the week of March 9. Pages generally run errands for officials and House staff. Williams, the daughter of Ricky Williams and Rebecca Ezenwanne, attends Clinton High School and serves as a member of the National Honor Society, Chemistry Club, Anchor Club, Model United Nations, Mu Alpha Theta, First Priority, Youth Legislature, and the Student Leadership Network. She will attend Mississippi College in the fall. Kimple, the daughter of Cornelius and Patricia Kimple, also attends Clinton High School, where she is a member of the Clinton Lady Arrows Basketball team. Kimple says she had an exciting experience at the State Capitol and looks forward to attending Millsaps College on a full academic scholarship in the fall.

Aria Jones (center), a senior at Clinton High School, recently paged for the Mississippi House of Representatives. Jones is pictured with Representative Bo Brown (left, recently deceased) and Speaker of the House Jason White (right). Jones, who was sponsored by Representative Stephanie Foster, said of her time as a page: “Being in the Mississippi House of Representatives serving as a page was an unforgettable experience. Thank you to Representative Foster for this awesome opportunity to help and observe the leaders of our state. I look forward to the lasting connections and the chance to serve again!” Jones is the daughter of Wallace and Shawana Jones.

Collins S. Grady (center), a student at Clinton Junior High School, recently paged for the Mississippi Senate. Grady is pictured with Senator Hillman T. Frazier (left) and Lieutenant Governor C. Delbert Hosemann, Jr. (right), who sponsored his visit. Grady said of his time as a page: “This week, working as a page, I enjoyed running errands for different senators and helping out around the Capitol. I also experienced what it’s like to work in a busy government building and meet new people, including the other pages. It was a really fun and interesting experience, and I hope I get to do it again someday.” Grady is the son of Deondria D. and Sefu O. Grady.
