Mississippi College Tennis Team Earns ITA All-Academic Recognition

CLINTON, Miss. — The Mississippi College men’s and women’s tennis teams were recognized as Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Teams.
Along with the team honors, 14 student-athletes were awarded ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition.
On the women’s side, Paulina Cota, Jillianne Craft, Aneta Golawska, Julia McCarty, Alisa Morozova, Tori Roberts and Kennedy Rodriguez were recognized. On the men’s side, Maksym Konovalov, Daniel McCammon, Brady McDaniel, Kent Morris, Shane Samyn, Ben Spears and Isaac Spears were honored.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet the following requirements: 1) have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year; 2) be listed on the institutional eligibility form. To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must meet the following requirements: 1) have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale); 2) all student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form; 3) all varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.
