This is an advantage for rear-wheel vehicles because to prevent any kind of damage to the transmission of the vehicle, the back wheel will have to be lifted. The front-wheel will then have to be lifted before the car can be towed. Don’t worry…..tow truck drivers like to talk big as if they’re big rig drivers, when in reality all they need is a g class license and no schooling at all…..most of these guys have a hard time to hook up without causing damage to a vehicle. Drive around looking for vehicles to tow and making deals with certain garages ect that they get payouts from. Best way to not get towed is to drive a tow truck yourself, or a heavier vehicle that will put them over the 14000 kg weight limit and let the MTO deal with them lol. A heavier vehicle means they will have to bring in a real wrecker with a d class driver and those guys are all busy doing real jobs

You know how you hear about tow truck drivers being murdered and such rage cases from time to time? Well, for every case you hear about there’s many many more you never will. They don’t report much about the guys that get away. Like that one time I watched some stupid cocksure tower get his brains blasted out the back of his skull. Never even heard about it in the news. I can’t get this done and because of it my car is going to get towed and repossessed. I would just add additional funds but I recently lost my job as a result of COVID-19 and my unemployment has been taken from me and currently in appeals and I don’t have the extra funds. If i see somebody try any of these tactics. I’ll be grabbing it first because i like the challenge. Parking brake on? It’ll take me less then 30 seconds to unlock the vehicle and disengage the parking brake. Dont wanna be towed? Pay your bills, dont park illegally and blend in with the rest. If you take a tire off, i’ll call in a flat deck who will then drag your vehicle onto the deck. If i have to i will move other vehicles out of my way just to grab your vehicle because i like the challenge. I know a guy who spent an hour and a half impounding a pickup truck because of the challenge. Theres no way of stopping your illegally parked vehicle from being towed. If i have to use special equipment to get your vehicle towed, you can guarantee that i’ll be charging for use of that equipment. Parked tightly between other vehicles? I got a winch that will drag your vehicle, works great for if your up against the curb. We dont care what you think will stop us from towing it. If its been called in to be towed, you’ll be towed. The moment its in the air it is legally ours. You wanna drive it off? You’ll catch a charge and destroy your vehicle if your successful at taking it off.
You can “unlock” a vehicle that requires the fob to be right next to the door to gain entry?
That’s not how it works. The only thing the key fob is needed for is for the keyless entry module to send a signal to the door actuators to unlock. It doesn’t stop someone from unlocking the doors manually.

To be honest I get where your coming from. Love the challenge but one thing I learned is never touch someone car that’s not part of the tow. Mainly because I know how I’ve reacted in the past to someone touching my car. I own a fully payed off model X 2019 I saw a tow and I shot the guy didn’t think I’m like not stealing my sh*t today. I can’t prevent scumbags from steeling my property if they think they are doing a public service or maybe they just like screwing people over and they feelbetter about themselves. If they want to mess with my property then they will have to except the damage to their theft equipment. With hydraulic rams and clamps mounted with consideration to either crushing, binding, or my personal favorite is now they can’t get my car to let go of there tow truck. And battery acid combined with high pressure directed to dump 2 gallons of some even more distructive liquids to saturate the hydraulic control systems for the wrecker what you get! Go ahead tow my car! The challenge is to see if you get to use that wrecker body again and what it cost to repair it. I bet you won’t think that when it takes several hours to clear a car off the interstate you are stuck on because somebody like you decided it would be a great idea to slash the tow truck’s tires. Here’s some advice if you dont want to get towed: park legally according to federal, state, and local laws. Pay your outstanding tickets and car payments, and if you can’t, talk to the court clerk or whoever you owe money, and work out a payment plan you can work with. Most importantly, have a backup plan and room for ANY sort of delay to anything.
95% of tow truck drivers are ex cons and thieves just out to make some money no matter who it’s from. Don’t hesitate to protect yourself and your property, you can’t really tell anymore who has your best interest and who’s just trying to steal from you and literally make you pay for it after. The disrespect you get from them altogether during the process would make anyone question if they’re even with a company or not. Lots of people paint “company” logos on their cars to not seem SUS.
